Stop Motion Artists and Examples
For this project I am interested in exploring stop motion film/photography. This interest has developed over the last year where i looked at the figure in motion, largely through still imagery.
I am still interested in movement of the body but I want to explore this through stop animation.

This is an example of stop motion photography. The music is by Oren Lavie and the video is directed by the artists and co directed and animated by Yuval Nathan and Merav Nathan. And the still photography by Eyal Landesman.
The video took 6 weeks of scripting, 3 weeks of storyboarding in animatic. The video itself took 48 hours of shooting and consists of 2096 still photos.
These were all gathered in to a time line to create the motion and since the video was made it has been nominated for various awards for the creativity of the video and the stop motion animation.

This is another example of Stop Motion animation this video featuring the song "Sleepyhead" by Passion Pit. Created in 2009 consists of 2,217 still photos and was shot and edited in the space of 1 week.
